Eco Gourmet Café

After a stroll at the nearby Pasir Panjang Beach, or a trek through the leafy jungle of Labrador Nature Reserve, nature lovers will be stoked to discover the Eco Gourmet Cafe nestled amid lush foliage. The place has an eco-conscious concept: secondhand wood recrafted by Malaysia’s Orang Asli community is used for its construction and furniture. The breezy resort ambience is perfect for sipping a selection of mocktails like Cherry Berry Bang Bang ($12), a sweet and tart drink of ice blended strawberries, cherries and lime juice. The menu offers Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of Asian influence—we especially liked the Pan Fried Tasmanian Ocean Trout ($39) enlivened with a tart and spicy pineapple and chilli salsa. For a tropical sweet ending, don’t miss the Coconut GeLato with Fresh Mango Salad and Rose Wine Jelly ($12).
