Madrasah Aljuneid Auditorium The topic introduces the audience to the meaning and scope of spirituality in Islam. It will also address the significance of spirituality and its application in a Muslim’s life. Islam is a way of life that transcends ritual practices & encoded beliefs. It is equipped with a spiritual element of illumination and intuitive wisdom that allows the seeker to experience the beauty and joy of proximity with the Lord. The speaker will discuss various justifiable methodologies or practices that Muslims can engage in to refine their character and values in serving their roles as vicegerents on Earth. The religious guidance provided in the Qur'an and in the example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is meant to take the individual from the stage of belief (Islam) to the stage of faith (Iman). Beyond faith, however, there is a third stage in which the believer reaches the state of spiritual illumination (Ihsan). This is the spiritual essence of being a Muslim, where Allah, illuminates the heart, and the believer now sees with and through the Divine light. The speaker would elucidate the path and foundations for one who is seeking spiritual illumination and in seeking the pleasure of Allah The Almighty.
