The Singapore Teddy Bear show is back for the third time at the Arts House. Catch the imaginative and cuddly creations of award-winning international artists, perhaps, you could pick up a softie bear to do your bid for charity. All proceeds from the sales of softies will go to The Little Arts Academy.

The Singapore Teddy Bear Show, which was created by the people at Moob International two years ago, has grown into an event of lively interest in the local soft sculpture art scene. Back by popular demand, Moob International promises an event that’s sure to thrill teddy bear enthusiasts and new comers to the show.

The 2009 theme, "Bear Traditions Unveiled", reveals how a traditional art form can be created into something new and contemporary. The art of bear making had existed for more than a hundred years; while many of the original methods are still being used, artists today are looking to break new grounds, test fresh ideas and vary this art form for an updated appeal.

This year, expect the same sterling line-up of international award-winning artists from Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan. They have made sure to bring back these favourites of the Teddy Bear Show to wow you with their latest creations.

If you’re a budding teddy bear artist, do not pass up the chance of getting your paws on some exquisite mohair furs. If you’re a kid wearing adult’s clothing, just allow yourself to be transported back to a time of innocence when the teddy is your buddy, always.
