This year, the organizers have decided to waive all entrance charges and participants can attend the designed-by-community-for-community concert for free.

Sparkle On 2010 – the largest and most electrifying year-end party in the heartland – is all ready with a 22-act line-up geared to entertain the concert’s targeted turnout of 10,000 Singaporeans. Building on the success of the inaugural countdown concert which ushered in 2009, Sparkle On is set to invigorate and excite with a strong focus on new hopes for 2010.

The event aims to deliver a message of Hope, a notion that resonates with Singaporeans can relate to because of the improving economy and H1N1 situation over the year.

The admission-free countdown spectacular signed on popular and critically acclaimed local talent including several winners of local talent competitions such as Kelvin Chen, Taufik Batisah, Jarold Lee and Mi Lu Bing. In line with Sparkle On’s theme of cultivating imminent hope for the following year, the performers for the made-for-Singapore-by-Singaporeans extravaganza were selected based on each artiste’s demonstration of motivation in realising their dreams.
