The Singapore Short Film Festival is Singapore’s only dedicated international short film festival that showcases award-winning short films from around the world. It has successfully grown to incorporate the long-running Asian Film Symposium, which examines industry trends and promotes the rise of young film creators in Asia through S-Express (a travelling short film program that reaches Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia).

Singapore Short Film Festival

The Singapore Short Film Festival is Singapore's only dedicated international short film festival that showcases award-winning short films from around the world!

Previously a biennial film festival, the programme has grown to become an annual event and will incorporate the long-running Asian Film Symposium (AFS) which promotes dialogue and exchange while examining industry trends and the raising young film talents in Asia through S-Express, the Traveling Short Film series that reaches Singapore, Thailand & Indonesia.

This festival is open to all international and local entries of independent shorts. The 5th edition returns in September 2009. The programme is also part of Septfest, The Substation's month-long festival in celebration of our anniversary in September.

Previously part of Septfest, The Substation's month-long festival in celebration of our anniversary in September, the AFS is a platform for dialogue and exchange, with the S-Express Travelling Short Film series from the region, and others.
