Singapore Garden Festival 2010

Fig 2: Singapore Garden Festival 2010Thursday July 15, 2010 - Thursday July 22, 2010
From 10:00am - 10:00pm

Suntec City Convention Centre
Singapore, Central Singapore

The festival is a unique event featuring international landscape and garden designers, florists and horticulturists convening in a single location. This contrasts with other international horticultural events which feature mainly domestic and regional designers and market vendors.

The Singapore Garden Festival (SGF), the first garden show in the tropics to bring together and showcase creations from the world’s top award-winning garden and floral designers under one roof, returns on 15 to 22 July 2010 at Suntec Convention Centre.

After successful runs in 2006 and 2008, SGF returns this year and is set to be even more spectacular with garden and floral displays that promises to provide visitors a unique and enjoyable experience.

Some 300,000 visitors were enthralled by the luxuriance of the garden and floral displays showcased at the festival in 2008. This year, the biennial event looks set to charm visitors once again with stunning garden displays, unusual plant and floral varieties, innovative and eco-friendly gardening initiatives among others.

Some of the exhibits new to this year’s festival include a balcony gardens display, a periscope garden and a supermarket garden for the younger visitors. Aspiring home gardeners will also be able to pick up useful tips from the new home gardeners showcase at the Festival.

Among the top gardening luminaries who have confirmed their attendance at this year’s Festival are multi-award winning designers such as Suzanne Gaywood, Robert Boltman, Alex Bartlett, and Rick Eckersley, all of whom are making their debut appearance in Singapore. More names will be revealed in the lead-up to the Singapore Garden Festival, which will feature over 30 award-winning garden and floral designers this July.
