The JEC Composites Show Asia is the new platform where composite professionals meet with end users in the Asia-Pacific area. The theme of the 2009 JEC Asia event is: "the best composites solutions". Indeed, with several conferences, technical and economical forums and workshops, and for the first time Business Meetings, this event will highlight technologies and manufacturing processes, as well as applications and markets in the Asia-Pacific area and worldwide.

Connecting Science, Technology & Business, JEC Asia is dedicated to promoting composite materials internationally. It supports the development of these new materials by fostering knowledge transfer and exchanges between suppliers and users. Several top-level end-users forums will be organised during the 2009 JEC Show Asia to encourage dialogue between industrialists (raw material suppliers, processors, equipment manufacturers, etc.) and end-users of composite solutions.

The JEC Asia event 2009 in Singapore is supported by A*Star (Agency for Science, Technology and Research), National University of Singapore (NUS), the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), the Land Transport Authority (LTA), STB (Singapore Tourism Board) and EDB (Economic Development Board).

The 2009 session theme will highlight:

• Automation of manufacturing processes: how to produce more and optimize prices, quality, safety and environment impact?
• Renewable energy: specific focus on wind energy
• Natural fibers and biocomposites: new green solutions for construction, automotive and transportation, sports & leisure, consumer goods …
