JIAM 2008, one of the world's top 3 major apparel machinery trade fairs, will be in Singapore for the 1st time from 13-16 May 2008.

JIAM made its first appearance in 1984 in Nagoya, Japan to meet and support the needs of the world’s users in the apparel industry, as well as its member companies. Over the last 24 years, JIAM has evolved into one of the world’s top 3 major apparel machinery trade fairs, ranking alongside IMB in Germany & SPESA EXPO in the U.S.

Themed "The Gateway to Advancing Technology from JIAM to the World", the 4-day event will showcase the latest and most advanced machinery and equipment from the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers, demonstrating highly innovative and cutting-edge technology that provide solutions for the apparel and garment industry.

Asia alone accounts for more than 70% of the global production. JASMA has selected Singapo Fig: Japan International Apparel Machinery re to host JIAM 2008, with the confidence that the island’s airline connectivity, dynamic business environment and cosmopolitan lifestyle will be most ideal to attract the buyers from the region, in particular, South East Asia and south Asia. JIAM 2008 will serve as an essential bridge that links between the Asian exporters to the global apparel market.

Some 20,000 industry visitors that include key garment & textile manufacturers, importers & exporters, dealers & distributors and retailers from India, China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the rest of Asia are expected to attend this exciting event.
