On October 28, Google’s kicking off a DevFest here in South East Asia — to be held right here in Singapore. Google’s sending over 4 of their engineers all the way from Mountain View to impart tips and tricks and best practices to the newbies and experts alike. Now if there’s anything you shouldn’t miss and worth a vacation leave, this would be it.

Here's what you can expect:
- Google will be sending 4 engineers from their Mountain View headquarters to Singapore and they will introduce the various APIs and their implementations. Knowledge of these APIs is not required though useful; knowledge of related languages such as JS (OpenSocial), Python (App Engine) is preferred.
- Depending on the experience of the audience with the APIs, the Google engineers could spend more time conducting tutorials and demos for newbies or coach experienced developers in best practices. Come ready to learn or share.
- Limited-edition Google T-shirts and other free swag will be up for grabs, while stocks last..
- Just like Google engineers who get free meals at work, you will not starve at this Google event too! Did we mention free food and beer, including ice cream? =)
