About Destiny

The objectives of Destiny Music are to help you to:

Recognise your true destiny, which is to worship the one and only God
Realise your potential in using music to worship God
Reach out to your generation through Christian music and worship

Workshops will be held to help you improve your skills in songwriting, playing of instruments and singing. They will be conducted by a team of Music fig 3: Destiny Music Festival 2008 iLab instructors who have vast experience in teaching in schools, churches and even commercially. Each two-hour workshop costs only $10 per student. Those who register for Destiny Music Awards will enjoy a 50% discount off the workshop fees.

The first Destiny Music Awards was launched last year with a songwriting competition. Four songs have been shortlisted for the finals. You can vote for your favourite songs and stand to win attractive prizes!

This year, new categories will be introduced in the Destiny Music Awards 2008:

Best Original Song (English/Chinese)
Best Vocalist (English/Chinese)
Best Group (English/Chinese)

The first-ever Destiny Music Festival will be held from 18- 22 November 2008. The programme will feature workshops in songwriting, playing of instruments and singing. Auditions for the Vocalist and Group categories of the Awards will also be held. The Festival will end of with the Finals of these two categories on the nights of 21 and 22 November.

19 & 20 Nov - Destiny Music Awards 2008 auditions for Best Vocalist and Best Group (register by 9 Nov)
21 Nov - Destiny Music Awards 2008 finals for Best Vocalist (special guest Daphne Khoo)
22 Nov - Destiny Music Awards 2008 finals for Best Group (special guest Daphne Khoo)
