Be wow-ed by Singaporeans who fights it out with world’s biggest eater celebrities Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayshi in a fierce battle to see who savours the most number of CP Shrimp Wontons in 8 minutes. CP Foods is proud to host the CP Biggest Eater Competition 2010 for the first time in Singapore. Look out for Juliet Lee who will prove that competitive eating is not only for men! What’s more, expect a blast as there will be radio personalities and other activities like cooking demonstrations by CP’s Ambassador Forest Leong, as well as yummy food samplings provided by CP etc.

Rules & Regulations:

  1. Contestant must be Singapore citizens and permanent residents and at least 18 years of age. CP shall be entitled to rely solely on photocopies of the NRIC or driving licence of the participant to ascertain the age of the participant.
  2. There will be 2 local heats on the following days:
    • Sunday, 25 April 2010 at Junction 8
    • Sunday, 2 May 2010 at Junction 8
  3. Each contestant must check in at participants’ holding area 15 minutes before their allocated competition slot for sign-in.
  4. The top 15 contestants (10 male and 5 female) from each local heats will be eligible to take part in the finals. These 30 contestants will be chosen based on the most amount of food consumed within the allotted time. Only the person who wins a qualifying round may compete in the Finals. There will be no substitution allowed.
  5. The top three (3) competitors per group must make themselves available for post-contest  press conference and/or meetings.
  6. The 31st and 32nd winner will be placed in the standby list, in order of the amount of food eaten. In the event that any finalist(s) cannot attend the finals, the standby will be called to take their place.
  7. The Finals will be held on Sunday, 9 May 2010 at Junction 8 – Central Atrium from 2pm – 5pm and the contestant who consumes the most amount of food during the allotted time will be the winner.
  8. Any food in the contestant’s mouth at the ending signal or whistle counts toward the final tally if the contestant chews and swallows it thereafter.
  9. In the case of a tie, the contestant with the less amount of food residue in the food tray at the ending signal or whistle will be judged the winner and the judges’ decision is final.
  10. Each contestant must wear the Official Event T-shirt, tags and any other advertising endorsement, advertisement or promotion material as CP may require during the contest.
  11. Each competitor will be scheduled for a specific time to compete and any competitor who is more than ten (10) minutes late after the reporting time will be disqualified.
  12. Any participant who vomit, throw up, choke upon, looks giddy or unwell, falls down, sit down or lie on the floor or stage or become semi or completely unconscious shall immediate be stopped from  competing in the contest and shall be disqualified from the contest immediately.
  13. The decision of the judges appointed by CP shall be final and there shall be no appeal form such decision.
  14. All winners and participants agree without reservation to allow their photograph, name, voice, likeness, address and nationality to be used by CP for any advertising or trade purposes and for the promotion and/or advertisement for this contest and next year's contest which may be organised by CP or their assignees or successors and shall cooperate and render all reasonable effort to help CP promote or publicize this contest.

  • 1st Prize - $1,500 x 2
  • 2nd Prize - $750 x 2
  • 3rd Prize - $500 x 2
