An Artistic and Humanitarian Event

Do not miss this artistic and humanitarian event held in Singapore on the 3rd and 4th of April 2009. On top of offering an exclusive artistic event, this concert series aims to raise funds for supplying potable water production modules to selected rural areas in Vietnam through the Vietnam Potable Water Project (VPWP).

The humanitarian project for potable water in rural Vietnam (VPWP) was launched in 2004 by the founders of EET. In 2005, the project received very positive responses during their field trips in Vietnam especially from UNICEF and the Vietnamese water authorities.

VPWP is a long-term project aiming at the sustainable development of potable water supply in rural areas in Vietnam. Water treatment modules are being installed on sites of need in Vietnam with the funds distributed by EAST, a non-governmental organization for International Solidarity, established in Vietnam since 1994. It is the Vietnamese branch of the French organization EAST. The global objective of EAST is to reduce endemic diseases caused by the consumption of unhealthy water and the lack of hygiene.

In an effort to raise funds for VPWP, World’s Talents has arranged a Classical Musical Concert Series in Singapore featuring international talents.

  • Volker Hartung is an internationally famous and recognized German conductor known for his specific style and for touching the hearts of the public.
  • Nancy Yuen is a Singaporean star soprano with a worldwide reputation for excellence. She performs throughout England, Asia and Australia.
  • Clementine Margaine is a highly promising mezzo-soprano who just received the award “Classical Revelation 2008″ by the ADAMI (National French Artists Association, Pablo Casals festival).
  • The Volker Hartung’s Chamber Orchestra has been carefully selected for this exclusive event and the musicians are all among the most talented in today’s Singapore music scene.
